Before it counts

Talk it through with a mirror that talks back.

Mirror puts you across from a lifelike person for the conversations that decide things, from the final-round interview to the big presentation. It looks you in the eye and pushes back like the real thing, and the moment you speak, it stops and listens, the way a person does. When you're done, it tells you exactly where you stood, down to your eye contact, and what to fix while fixing it is still free.

"You buried your strongest result. Lead with the 40% number, then explain how. And you broke eye contact every time money came up. Hold the look and make the ask."

How it works

The Mirror Way.

One honest loop, repeated until the real thing feels familiar: speak it live, get coached the moment you finish, and watch your scores climb.

01

Sit in the room.

Pick the conversation that's coming: the interview, the big presentation, the raise, the talk you keep putting off. Then have it, live, with a lifelike person who reacts, pushes back, and stops when you speak.

02

Get coached the moment you finish.

Not "good job." The coach reads the whole conversation and names exactly what landed and the two or three things that will move the needle, on the same honest rubric every session. And it saw how you showed up: your talk balance, your timing, and, with your camera on, your eye contact, analyzed on your own device and never uploaded.

03

Watch your line rise.

Every session is scored the same way, so your progress graphs session over session. Improvement stops being a feeling and becomes a line you can see.

04

Walk in ready. Own the room.

By the time the real one happens, you've already survived it. The room feels familiar, your answers are sharp, and you have the record to prove it.

What you practice

The conversations that decide things.

Mirror starts where the stakes are highest and a second chance is expensive.

Job interviews

Rehearse the questions you dread until your best answer is the automatic one.

  • Behavioral and "tell me about a time"
  • Tailored to the real job description
  • From first screen to final round

The big presentation

Deliver the whole thing to a room that listens without interrupting, then answers back.

  • Present start to finish; the questions wait for you
  • A Q&A drawn from what you actually said
  • State your goal, and get a verdict on whether you won it

High-stakes talks

Say the hard thing well. Practice the version where it goes right.

  • Asking for a raise or promotion
  • Being there when a friend gets hard news
  • The reconnection you keep putting off

The science

Reading tips will not make you better. Reps will.

Getting good at anything hard follows one recipe: focused reps at the edge of your ability, under real pressure, with feedback specific enough to act on. Psychologists call it deliberate practice, and decades of research back it. Mirror is built around that method and aims it squarely at the conversations that decide a career, so you build the skill where it actually counts.

Deliberate practice

Improvement comes from focused reps at the edge of your ability, paired with feedback. Not from reading advice, and not from volume alone.

In MirrorEvery session targets one real scenario and ends with feedback precise enough to change your very next attempt.

Rehearsal transfers

Saying the words out loud, in role, under pressure carries into the real moment better than running them silently in your head.

In MirrorYou actually speak, handle the follow-up, and feel the stakes, so the real room feels like one you have already been in.

Specific feedback

Feedback only helps when it is immediate and concrete. "Be more confident" changes nothing. "Lead with your result" changes everything.

In MirrorCoaching names the two or three exact things to fix, right after the session, while it is still fresh.

Familiarity calms nerves

Most of the fear in a high-stakes conversation is unfamiliarity. Realistic repetition wears it down. The tenth time is steadier than the first.

In MirrorRehearse until the conversation is familiar instead of frightening, and walk in with your nerves already spent.

Pilots train in simulators. Surgeons rehearse before the operating room. Athletes scrimmage before the game. The highest-stakes performers alive never wing it. Now you get the same edge, for the conversations that shape your career.

Here’s what that buys you: the questions feel familiar, your best answer arrives without a fight, and your nerves are spent before you walk in. Most people meet the moment that decides their career having never rehearsed once. Yours is already on the calendar.

Practice, not therapy.

Mirror is a coaching and practice tool for everyday high-stakes conversations. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional.

Limited time offer · next 100 signups

A fraction of the price of a coach. Unlimited nerve.

One hour with a top interview coach runs $200 or more, and you get exactly one run at it. Every Mirror plan costs less than that single hour: run it, get precise coaching the moment you finish, then run it again with the feedback still fresh. For the next 100 signups, a full year costs less than half of one hour with a coach, and your rate stays yours for as long as you stay a member.

Why Mirror costs more than a quiz app.

Every Mirror session runs a live, photorealistic person who listens, reacts, and answers you in real time, plus a coach who reads the whole conversation afterward. That costs more to build and more to run than a question bank with a score. You're not buying flashcards. You're buying the room.

Fair questions.

Can't I just practice with ChatGPT?
You can, and it's better than nothing. But ChatGPT is text in a box: it never looks at you, it can't be interrupted mid-sentence, it doesn't hold you to the same scoring rubric twice, and it won't chart whether you're actually improving. Mirror is a live, face-to-face conversation with a coaching engine behind it. You don't get ready for a conversation by typing.
How is this different from interview-practice apps?
Those apps grade recordings of you answering questions. Useful, but nobody talks back, so the part that actually fails in the real room, the nerves, the pushback, the being looked at, never gets trained. Mirror is the room. And it isn't only interviews: you can deliver the big presentation to an audience that listens and then grills you on it, practice the raise, the talk a friend needs, the difficult conversation you keep postponing.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No. Pick a scenario and start talking. For interviews, you can paste the real job description and your resume, and the interviewer walks in prepared for that exact job.
Does Mirror watch me through my camera?
Only if you ask it to. Eye-contact coaching is off by default. Flip it on and your camera is analyzed on your own device to measure how you held the room: your eye-contact percentage, when you looked away, for how long. No video is ever recorded, uploaded, or seen by anyone; it never leaves your machine. Mirror keeps only the summary numbers so your coach can use them. Turn it off any time.
Is my data private?
Your audio is never recorded or stored. After each session we keep only the text transcript, your coaching, and your scores, so you can track your progress. If you turn on eye-contact coaching, your camera is analyzed on your device only, and the video never leaves it. You can delete everything, anytime.
